Cheshire Children’s Physio Price Structure

The cost of physiotherapy is £100 per hour for my time.

This time may be spent clinically e.g. carrying out an assessment or providing a treatment session; or non-clinically e.g. liaising with other professionals, producing reports/treatment plans, researching equipment/facilities etc. Non-clinical work would only be done with prior permission from yourself.

The cost of travel is £55 per hour and 50 pence per mile, costed as return journey to my cost centre at WA4 3BN.

Many clients who approach Cheshire Children’s Physio have secured funding for their therapy needs following a compensation award. They may be seeking physiotherapy as part of a wider therapy package, and this is often coordinated by the case manager.

For other families this is not the case, and I am aware that the financial burden of therapy may be significant. For that reason, I offer self-funding clients a discounted rate of £85 and I try to reduce the travel cost where possible. This is done on a case-by-case arrangement.

Occasionally it comes to my notice that a child has a significant and urgent need for physiotherapy which is not being provided by the NHS and the family are unable to finance this need. In this instance further discount may be offered; this is generally applied to families who are very local to my base and are able to accept therapy sessions at short notice when I have had cancellations from other families.

May I take this opportunity to inform you that once booked 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellation of a session; sessions cancelled within 24 hours’ notice will require payment of the full amount.
